Scouting

One of my many passions in life is Scouting. I have held various roles within Scouting in the ACT and NSW Branches. These have included in the Venturer Section (14-18 years) and with international programs. I am currently working with International Programs.

As a youth members in my younger years I personally got a lot out of Scouting. I enjoyed to the experiences and these developed much of what I am today. As an adult I have enjoyed providing the experience to young people in order for them to develop themselves and learn about the world.

My experiences Internationally with Scouting have taken me to many countries around the world, where I have learnt, watched young people develop and made friends. Some of the places I have been too include Denmark, New Zealand, Niue, Norway, Solomon Islands, Sweden and Vietnam.

Over the next few pages I will share with you some of the opportunities that I have had through scouting. Please enjoy and contact me if you questions.

  1. Thanks for stopping by my blog! I’ve been in Guiding since I was 7, and most of my travelling before this trip was to international camps. I just haven’t got round to writing about it yet.

  2. My daughter is in Beaver’s and absolutely loves it. I’m so glad she has the opportunity to mix with boys and girls-she was never likely to engage with the Brownie’s! The Scouting movement is a really great thing. Thanks for stopping by my blog.

  3. My 13-year old son is involved in The Boy Scouts of America and is in fact at summer camp right now learning to fly a glider for his Aviation Merit Badge. Thank you for following my blog!

  4. Thanks for following our blog! Are you coming to the uk for Windsor International Guides and Scout camp in 2014? WInGS14.
