How come my Life is so Awesome?

DSC_0489The other night about 9pm as I was sitting down in Chinatown in Singapore I was reflecting on my awesome life. I am not here to brag, but I have been blessed. I think there are three reasons for this. The first is being in the right place at the right time, the second is being ready and seeking out opportunities and the third is being in the right mindset. I believe that you are also blessed and live an awesome life.

Being in the right place at the right time is a part of the awesomeness of my life. I was born in Australia, had a good upbringing and quite often things seem to fall in my lap. I am also blessed to have been born in an era where there is more opportunity than ever before with the technology that is around us and the freedoms that most of us enjoy.

I think that being ready for opportunities is an important part of the puzzle to an awesome life. If you are not ready you will either be unaware of the opportunities or unable to take advantage of them. Likewise luck also favours the seeker. By getting out and doing things I have come across many opportunities.

And the most important part to having an awesome life is one’s mindset. I have my ups and downs, my successes and failures, however overall I believe that my life is awesome, I believe that opportunities come my way and I am grateful for my life. I believe that my mindset helps me to identify and be thankful for the opportunities that do come my way.

  • When is a time that you have been in the right place at the right time?
  • What do you do that opens you to opportunities that come your way?
  • How do you ensure that your mindset sets you up for an awesome life?

  1. Clarence from It’s A Wonderful Life While the winter season brings joy and happiness to many, statistics reveal that about three to five percent of Americans suffer from Seasonal Affective Disorder, a type of depression that occurs annually in fall and winter seasons. Whether you are suffering from Seasonal Affective Disorder, stressed, worried about the infamous family get together or caught up in commercialism — we all need reminders about why our life is a great one.

  2. I think having a good mindset takes practice. Some days it comes easily & other times we have to remind ourselves that we have got it pretty good. It’s a bit cliche to call Australia the Lucky Country, but we Aussies are pretty blessed to live here. Enjoy Singapore – hope to get there one day.
