Are you a Spectator or a Player?

It is interesting with the World Cup playing at the moment how many viewers there are world wide. Television screens globally are playing each game. I understand that it is a big event and there is a lot of national pride on the line. We should all be proud of our teams and support them. I know personally I am not a very good spectator and would rather play. No…. I am not at the level of these international athletes so spectating is for me when it comes to the World Cup.

However, when I review my life I realise that there are moment that I am spectating when I should be playing.

  • Are you living your life as a spectator?
  • Do you say things like “they should…”?
  • Do you believe that problems are out there and someone else fault?

If you answered “Yes” to the above questions, I would suggest, like me, you may need to review the situation. Yes there are things out I our control and yes there is time to be a spectator, like the World Cup. However are you the player in your own life? Are you directing and driving your life where you want it to go?

  1. I happen to be writing to make you be aware of what a nice discovery my cousin’s child developed browsing your blog. She noticed lots of things, with the inclusion of what it’s like to possess a wonderful coaching heart to have men and women smoothly thoroughly grasp some advanced issues. You undoubtedly did more than our own expectations. Thank you for giving those useful, trusted, educational and also fun tips on that topic to Gloria.

  2. As engaged and passionate spectators of national and international sports, we are also players in another kind of game. Without our active participation as entertainment consumers, these sports events would cease to exist.

  3. I recently began. Stable income helps tremendously.

  4. A thought-provoking post. I agree with your take. Though I do think sometimes the wisest move is to be a spectator to understand the environment before you become a player.

  5. Another question to ask might be: Are you a biter? 😉
