I have written about sleep before. In fact I had some good points in the blog post “Quality or Quantity of Sleep?” In recent weeks I have been making an effort to get more sleep. I have been going to bed a little earlier and getting up a little later. It has been an eye opener to what happens with more sleep.
The experience has been very good for me. I have been more active during the day, feeling better, have more energy and have not needed a coffee to get me going in the morning. In addition to all the extra energy I have had I have also had a clearer mind and been able to focus better on what I have been doing. I am also sure it has been better for my health…
Though I am still not sleeping as much as I should I am certainly feeling better. If you are not getting enough sleep I encourage you to try and get an hour extra a day or even thirty minutes and see the impact this has on you.
