New Year, New Opportunity

Did you make New Year’s Resolutions?
Was there a plan behind the resolution or is it just a wish?
Will you actually keep to your resolution?

Well it is 2013….. That means another year completed and a new year in front of us all. There is nothing that we can do about the past, however the future is ours for the taking. Though things from the past will impact on our future we have a choice about how we will deal with them. I wish you all an awesome 2013 and may all your dreams come true.

If you are like me you will have many great ideas and opportunities that you want to take advantage of in 2013. However I have learnt two lessons when it comes to plans, ideas and resolutions. The first is to ensure that your goals and resolutions cover more than one aspect of your life. It is a balance. If all your resolutions relate to work then they are not balanced. The second lesson I have learnt is to ensure that I do not overwhelm myself. I usually focus on 2-5 goals at a time and have a plan for how I am to achieve them. That way I do not have too much on my plate and can focus. The plan ensures that I have a way to get there.

I wish you all the very best for 2013 and if you wish to set New Year’s resolutions ensure you balance your resolutions and limit them to 2-5 with plans. May all your dreams come true…..

  1. Hi Attila,

Thank you for the interesting post. I would like to wish you a Happy New Year. May 2013 be a year of success, love, and happiness for you. And thank you for keep following my blog. I hope my blog posts have been useful and interesting for you. 🙂

  2. I like to keep it concrete. Like (1) read 2 books in a month (2) follow 5 blogs solidly and faithfully (3) attend one workshop/ lecture in a month (4) change the color of my nail polish every week…lol. Sme things like these..happy new year!

  3. I am focusing on an intention rather than a resolution; a BEING rather than a DOING. So for me, I AM LOVE; loving and opening my heart more than ever before!

  4. I think it is a good point on balance. I made my list for the new year. I haven’t decided if it is a wish list or a resolutions. Wishes come magically and resolutions take work. I am searching for balance in nearly all areas of my life so in some ways I think they are wishes but I have a back up plan to work at it 😉

  5. Sole resolution: to live in the moment.

  6. Thank you for following my blog.

May 2013 bring you many blessings !

  7. Thanks for stopping by my blog, Attila. Best to you in the New Year!

  8. I agree that I need to focus on a handful of goals at any given time, focus is the catalyst for results.

  9. I’ve never really bothered to keep resolutions. I guess, the one thing I wish for 2013 is to be happy and have an adventurous year.
    Well, that’s 2 things. Anyway.

    happy New Year!

  10. Thank you for visiting. I like this blog. Never lose that passion! Happy New Year to you and yours!
