Today is a very special day….. It is my lovely wife’s birthday. We had a relatively relaxing day and spent the time as a family. As Christmas is arriving it is a great time to reflect on family and spending some time to relax. However back to today…. There was the natural wake up (no alarm clock), presents for the birthday girl (Kimy), lunch with Kim’s parents and then some time tonight looking at Christmas lights.

As Kim has a love of good coffee one of her presents today was a coffee machine. The coffee machine produces nice coffees and with the hot milk function we have been able to make Chai Lattes and Hot Chocolates. An awesome addition to our family’s kitchen. If you’re in the area stop in for a cuppa.

Lunch was nice too…. Kim’s parents took us to Hog’s Breath Café…. The meal was great and the service was awesome…. I will write a blog in the future about the great service we received and the lessons learnt. The Lunch experience was made great through good food, friend service, helpful people, quick service and a good environment.

As for the Christmas lights it was great to see the smile on Kim’s face….. It was like a child in a candy store. She was so enthused by the lights….. And there are some awesome Christmas Lights around Canberra…. I will up load photos and videos in the next few days…..

So with the festive season on it way, what are you going to celebrate?

How are you going to relax, reflect and rejuvenate?

How are you going to spend your family time?

  1. How nice! Thanks for stopping by my blog and for following!

  2. Sounds like a very nice way to spend a birthday! My birthday is just after the holidays and my husband usually forgets about mine. I’ve learned to do something fun for myself that day.

For the holidays, I like the peaceful way to celebrate: snowy walks, looking at lights, celebrating on Christmas Eve instead of Christmas Day, listening to quiet holiday music, lining the walk with luminaries, and just enjoying the night-time peace and magic of the season.

  3. Lovely blog, Attila. I especially enjoyed the Christmas lights entry.

  4. Dear Atttila Ovari,
I really love your entries about family. Your wife is a Vietnamese lady, isn’t she? I find out her name being similar a Vietnamese name.

  5. I am a December baby as well. The Christmas lights and good cheer surely enhances my birthday. I can relate to her joy. Happy Birthday to your wife.

  6. Thank you for making your lady’s birthday special!! <3
Its always hard with December-born getting lost in the shuffle.
    Happy Holidays"

  7. Since I am overseas away from my family it will be difficult to rest, relax & enjoy the family. I have to work everyday except Friday. But I find little snippets of time that me and my coworkers have fun. We do what we can so we won’t be homesick. 🙂

  8. First off I will celebrate Jesus’s birthday in my heart as not all of my family believes the same as me. I will have my precious kids here along with grandchildren. The day will be celebrated in family comfort style, enjoying great food and each other

  9. Happy Birthday for your wife Attila!!! 🙂

  10. Happy birthday to your wife 🙂
