Scouts International Student Exchange Program (SISEP)

The SISEP is a program that allows Venturer Scouts from Denmark, Japan, United Kingdom and Australia to do a 6-8 week exchange. During the exchange they are hosted by a family in the host country, attend school and scouts. It is a great opportunity for teenagers to experience another culture and build international connections.

This year here in the ACT & region we have three Venturers heading over to United Kingdom for the exchange, up from one last year. It is an exciting time. Over the last week we have conducted the last briefs, presented scarfs, badges, tickets and woggles. The youth members are all prepared and very excited to be travelling to the United Kingdom. That said this is not a holiday for the youth members. This is a program where there is an expectation of schooling, scouting and participating in the host family.
